The HSE Manager for the Factory is responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental policies in the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with local and international standards. The role focuses on maintaining the safety of factory workers, ensuring the safe operation of machinery, and minimizing environmental impact during production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
HSE Policy Development:
Create and enforce HSE policies tailored to the factory’s manufacturing activities. Ensure these policies comply with Dubai Municipality and international HSE regulations.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct regular risk assessments within the factory, ensuring that all hazards, particularly related to machinery and hazardous materials, are identified and mitigated.
Training & Development:
Develop and implement HSE training programs focused on safe machinery operation, handling hazardous materials, and emergency response specific to factory workers.
Incident Management:
Investigate accidents and near misses within the factory, maintaining records and proposing measures to prevent recurrence.
Environmental Management:
Oversee waste disposal and material handling to ensure minimal environmental impact, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
Safety Culture Promotion:
Promote a safety-first culture within the factory, conducting regular safety inductions and training programs for all workers.
Medical Surveillance:
Develop and implement ongoing health surveillance programs, particularly for workers exposed to hazardous materials like spray paint.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or factory environments.
Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognized by Dubai Municipality.
Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality HSE regulations and industry standards.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing HSE in manufacturing or production facilities.
Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental management systems.
