Job Overview
The Head of Quality for the Factory will oversee all quality processes within companies factory operations, ensuring adherence to quality, health, and safety standards. This role requires a leader experienced in quality management who can drive change, improve processes, and maintain a safe, efficient factory environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, with a proven record in quality-focused manufacturing environments, preferably with ISO standards knowledge.
Responsibilities
• Quality Control Leadership:
Oversee all factory quality processes, setting high standards for product consistency, safety, and client satisfaction. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with companies quality and safety protocols.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
Implement and enforce health and safety standards across the factory, ensuring compliance with ISO and other relevant certifications. Lead initiatives to improve safety practices and foster a safe working environment.
• Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement in factory processes, focusing on lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality. Develop and implement process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and support factory productivity.
• Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary contact for quality-related inquiries, ensuring client expectations are met through effective communication and prompt resolution of quality concerns. Present quality results and improvements to clients, showcasing our commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Team Leadership and Training:
Train factory staff on quality control processes and best practices, building a quality-focused culture. Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with the Site Quality Assurance Coordinator and design quality teams to ensure cross-functional quality alignment.
Required Skills
• Quality Expertise: In-depth experience with quality processes in manufacturing, ideally in a high-quality, ISO-compliant environment.
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to factory operations.
• Change Management: Proven ability to lead process improvements and implement lean practices effectively.
• Client-Focused Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to maintain client satisfaction and address quality inquiries.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and train teams with a hands-on approach, fostering a proactive quality culture.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• ISO 9001 certification and Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
