Looking for a Regional Sales Manager responsible for identifying leads, engaging in business development with strategic or local business partners and closing deals with the ultimate purpose of increasing sales volume and meeting the region’s sales targets.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide inputs for the division’s plans and operational budget.
2. Ensure that the division’s policies are developed and periodically reviewed, procedures for various functions are documented and implementation of these policies and procedures is monitored.
3. Ensure compliance with all legal, contractual, audit, regulatory, risk management and safety requirements and procedures, especially in respect of IP confidentiality and related risks.
4. Maintain efficiency and cost effectiveness of all processes by ensuring that all the technology needs of the business unit are addressed (in coordination with Corporate IT).
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for achieving the allocated sales target assigned for his region and enhance general sales capacity. Prepare quarterly sales reports for the management team.
2. Responsible for collecting information on countries, tenders, incumbents, technology and price sensitivity for prioritized countries and identifying potential leads.
3. Build a strong lead pipeline in his region, identify and support the selection of local business partners in coordination with Director of Government Sales.
4. Educate the client and local partner about companies technology through presentations, marketing materials, site visits, etc.
5. Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with government entities in his region.
6. Responsible for entering any required information in the CRM system.
7. Maintain complete knowledge and understanding of any tender or bidding requests from the government and recommend to the Director of Government Sales companies approach to tender (bid as prime, bid through local partner, bid through consortia).
8. Identify and propose to the Director of Government Sales a selection of local partners based on market due diligence.
9. Responsible for the bid management process. Manage his pre-sales support and hand over pertinent information for identified tenders and opportunities on a timely basis.
10. Liaise with Operations division to hand over awarded contracts along with all project details and requirements.
11. Engage in continuous client relationship management to ensure client satisfaction and convey all knowledge regarding client demands and expectations to product owners.
12. Maintain relationship with existing client and attempt to upsell/ expand portfolio whenever possible.
13. Maintain presence in trade shows for Passport and ID. Provide support to product development team in organizing the trade shows in his region.
14. Perform any other related job duties as requested by direct supervisor and as per the processes framework, the commitment authority matrix and the Finance DoA.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor in Engineering
• Post graduate qualifications/ training in Sales.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
• Public sector sales experience
• Ten (10) years of relevant experience
OTHER SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
• English and Mandarin proficiency preferable
• Knowledge of other languages is preferable (Cantonese is a plus)
