Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with in-depth knowledge of the metal trading industry, particularly with experience related to the London Metal Exchange (LME). The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial operations within the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the organization.
  • Manage the company’s financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage the company’s cash flow and liquidity, and work with trading teams to ensure efficient financial planning and risk management.
  • Collaborate with trading and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of financial processes and reporting, with a focus on LME transactions.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and applicable accounting regulations.
  • Lead the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring successful completion of audits.
  • Assist in tax planning and management, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 1-2 years working in a Big 4 accounting firm (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG).
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis within the trading and commodities industry, with particular expertise in LME-related transactions.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of LME (London Metal Exchange) trading practices and financial regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with risk management strategies, particularly in commodity trading.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Arabic Speaker preferred
