Our Client is looking for a talented and visionary Fashion Designer to join their prestigious team, specializing in luxury ladies’ fashion. You will possess an innate sense of creativity, coupled with an expert understanding of fabric, fit, and design aesthetics. You will lead the creation of exclusive and timeless collections that resonate with the brand’s high-end clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Development:
Conceptualize and design innovative collections for luxury ladies’ wear, blending contemporary trends with timeless elegance.
Create mood boards, design sketches, and detailed technical drawings to communicate design ideas clearly.
Select premium fabrics, trims, and embellishments, ensuring the highest standards of quality and aesthetic value.
Collection Strategy & Planning:
Develop seasonal collections that reflect market trends, customer desires, and brand identity.
Balance creativity with commercial viability, ensuring designs are both aspirational and marketable.
Adapt designs to different climates, cultural aesthetics, and diverse customer preferences.
Collaboration & Execution:
Work in close partnership with pattern makers, production teams, and merchandisers to bring designs to life with precision.
Provide guidance on garment fittings, offering solutions for alterations and adjustments to ensure impeccable final pieces.
Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the production team to ensure timelines and budgets are met without compromising quality.
Trend & Market Research:
Stay at the forefront of global luxury fashion trends, customer behavior, and emerging styles.
Analyze competitor collections, customer feedback, and industry forecasts to ensure the brand remains ahead of the curve.
Sustainability & Ethical Design:
Incorporate sustainable and ethical practices into the design process, utilizing eco-friendly materials and responsible production methods when possible.
Promote the brand’s commitment to sustainability while crafting luxurious and high-quality designs.
Quality Assurance:
Oversee the final quality of garments, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and a flawless finish.
Ensure all designs meet the highest standards for fit, finish, and fabric quality, reflecting the brand’s dedication to luxury.
Key Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end or luxury fashion design, specifically in ladies’ wear.
A robust portfolio demonstrating experience in creating luxury collections and an understanding of current fashion trends.
Strong knowledge of luxury fabrics, textures, and embellishments used in high-end fashion.
Expert understanding of garment construction, draping, pattern making, and finishing techniques.
Ability to work with both traditional and modern design techniques, from sketching to prototyping and final production.
