Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Solar Power Plant Development

Location: Dubai however travel to various CIS countries is necessary​

Position Summary: The COO will oversee the end-to-end development of a new solar power plant, ensuring seamless coordination across all phases—from site selection and permitting to construction and commissioning. This role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of the solar power plant project, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.

  • Oversee site acquisition, permitting, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and safety.

  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to ensure project success.

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team to support project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in the renewable energy sector.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

  • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, project financing, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts.

  • Familiarity with international renewable energy markets and standards.

  • Professional certifications in project management or renewable energy.
